David Cook

Can't we just have another rocker on American Idol without the comparisons? Do we need to have "compared to Daughtry" every fucking week? oy, people. Seriously. Dude is good.

"Hello" indeed

"Eleanor Rigby"

Wow. Just wow. "Billie Jean"

But still? Nothing will ever "compare" to this moment:

at least not for me.

I suppose people just want to compare them because of the "rocker" label.

I love David Cook, and he's even starting to look less creepy to me LOL.

I think I loved his version of "Hello" the best because it was a total shock value. When I heard he was going to sing a Lionel Ritchie song, I was shocked.

We watched Chris and his band on tv this past weekend. Might have been MTV??? Not sure. I ended up being bored because his songs just seemed to be all the same. I still find him cute though. Did you see the show?

Actually, I was equally shocked when I read that David Cook was going to sing "Billie Jean". I never knew there was another version out there. He knocked that one out of the park also.

I would definitely be interested in hearing his music more.

That is definitely the reason people are bringing Chris's name up every time David Cook performs. It's just hugely frustrating for me. They're not really anything alike. You know? I would be okay with somebody saying, "hey, you remind me of Chris Daughtry" but that doesn't seem to be what's happening. I love that people can't stop talking about him, I guess.

Do all Daughtry's songs sound the same? I don't think so (but I'm admittedly very biased). I don't really watch music television. Hard to believe, I know. I did watch his Soundstage though on one of those HD channels. Maybe that was from MTV? I'm not sure.

David's pretty wonderful himself. He doesn't need the comparisons either because in some cases (like mine), he won't match up.

"Hello" was shocking. OMG yes. I just purchased "Billie Jean" and his album (I think it was released in 2005) "Analog Heart".

I like Michael Johns' pre-idol stuff WAY better. I bought all those last week.. or two weeks ago maybe. Also got "Across the Universe" "It's All Wrong.." and "A Day in the Life". I'll probably buy the rest at the end of the month (or maybe it'll have to wait until next paycheck. heh.)

Hi Nook. *smooch*

oh. I just bought Josh Gracin's new album too. It came out on the 1st. Though you probably don't like him. :)
